Creating Panoramic Photos with hugin

While on holidays in Australia I took a number of photo sequences to see if I could stitch them together into panoramic images. I used Hugins, which is a cross platform application, to stitch the photos together to produce images like the one bellow. Cropped Panoramic image

Long exposure drive

These are photos taken with a low shutter speed while driving at night. I like them because they capture the passing of time without any distracting details.

Long exposure Hanabi

I took some long exposure photos of firecrackers. The longest photos were 30 seconds and were taken at ISO100.

TLUG June 12 Nomikai

We had the Tokyo Linux User Group (TLUG) June Nomikai last Friday. We started at the Za Watami at 20:00 and then move on to the town Crayer. Our regular photographer Jim Grisanzio couldn't make it so I took a few shots. I only had a AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II (3.0x) so the pictures are pretty dark. They are mostly at ISO1600 so are pretty grainy.

It was too dark at Tokyo 2.0 so I lowered the ISO and shutter speed and played around with the camera.
